Aco Takenaka

Rooted in Japan's spiritual traditions, Aco Takenaka began with her own ancestral sound and followed it outward, listening for ancient voices that resonate across cultures. A sound artist and sacred vocalist, she bridges primordial wisdom with contemporary ambient production.

Renowned for her expressive “seven-colored” voice, Aco weaves ancient vocal techniques, sacred vowels, and organic textures into a sonic waterfall. Aco’s work has received international recognition, including a Silver Award for Female Vocal at the Global Music Awards for Oxum, a Bronze Award for Sacred Vocal at the Global Music Awards for Ancient Seeds, and a Silver Award in Frequency & Transformational Music at the COVR Visionary Awards for Ancient Seeds.

At the heart of Aco’s work is an invitation to pause, listen deeply, and remember—to reconnect with ourselves, with nature, with all life, and with the original sound.
