Dr Tess Remy-Schumacher
Born in Germany, Tess Remy has taught at the James Cook University, Australia, and was a Visiting Scholar and Visiting Fellow Performance at Harvard University. Currently she is the Professor of Cello and Director of the Brisch Center for Historical Performance at the University of Central Oklahoma. Dr. Remy has won first prizes at Germany's "Jugend musiziert" and the Carlo Zecchi Competition with pianist Michael Staudt. She has been a concert soloist for many years, performing in Europe, Asia, Australia and the US, including two Carnegie Recital Hall concerts.
